At this time of year, the East Garden reveals its interest: all the rhododendrons are in full blossom – pink, blue, white, purple and red.
But, what I really enjoy is not looking at the shrubs themselves, but looking at the floor.
Indeed, they have just started to drop their flowers, which creates an amazing effect. It is like a colourful carpet which contrasts with the green of the grass.
It is definitely worth having a walk through this part of the garden. But, the visitor has to be quick, it is a short time before the “carpet” disappears.
