Plant of the Week

This beautiful Spring flowering bulb, called Fritilaria Imperialis, is┬ánative from a wide stretch all the way from Kurdistan to Iran. We grow it in pots and it’s dotted around the garden for maximum impact. You can also have it in a bedding scheme but it does need very free draining soil. It comes in various flaming colours and the┬ácommon name Imperialis refers to the golden ring of flowers reminiscent of an Emperor’s crown.
