Plant of the Week

Beth’s Poppy

A delicate pink poppy is making its debut in the garden this Spring and what a treasure it’s turning out to be. Beth’s Poppy starts to open from mid Spring and carries on through to early summer, growing to about 60cm in height. The clusters of flowers seem to hover in the air where other plants this time of year are yet to reach. Papaver dubium ssp. Lecoquii var. albiflorum could be quite a mouthful but, as it comes from award winning plants woman  Beth Chatto, it is more simply named Beth’s Poppy.
