Kitchen Garden this week

It’s a gentle process training the apple step overs in the kitchen garden. We start by tying the branches in at an angle before lowering them to their horizontal position.

Our first crop of gooseberries are ready for the kitchen. Head Chef George and the team wanted them to be slightly sour which will be reflected in the seasonal menu. The rest are allowed to ripen under protection and will be harvested later in the season.
