Some of the best things in life take time and this is particularly the case with trees. We planted our cherries some five years ago and it’s only now that we are getting our first decent crop.
On this scale, these crops are best grown against a wall. This way they can be protected against the birds, sheltered against frosts during blossom time and trained into beautiful shapes. But best of all is the flavour of these beautiful fruits which we are enjoying this week at full ripeness.
